Hawari Shar Garden and Roman Theatre, Sulaymaniyah, Visit Iraq
It is one of the most beautiful tourist places in the city of Sulaymaniyah, the largest park in Iraq and the second largest park in the Middle East, with an area of about 4,400 dunums. The word Hawari Shar is a Kurdish word meaning garden house. It is located 10 km northwest of the city of Sulaymaniyah The park opened in 2016.
An ideal place to relax and rest amid the green spaces and enjoy the beauty of nature, as it contains more than 800 different trees and plants, and it also includes fountains and games for children in addition to restaurants and cafeterias.
Roman Theater
One of the most prominent features of the park is a large theater that can accommodate 5 thousand people, an exact copy of the famous Roman Colosseum Theatre. It includes three floors with open windows, arches, columns, and seating terraces in the form of a semicircle.
