Martyr’s Monument
The Martyr’s Monument is located on the Rusafa side of the capital, Baghdad. It is one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in the city. The monument is located in the middle of an artificial lake. It consists of a circular platform with a diameter of 190 meters, with a turquoise dome, 41 meters high.
A wonderful architectural design, in an Islamic style, designed by the Iraqi engineer Saman Asaad Kamal, and the monument symbolizes the sacrifice of the martyr for the sake of his country and its principles. Work on the construction of the monument began in 1983. Under the dome is a museum, an auditorium, a library and an exhibition hall. It is recommended to visit this monument and take memorial photos.
Visiting hours are from Sunday to Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm Entry fee: 6,000 Iraqi dinars per person
It is also located near the Martyr’s Monument, Sinbad Land Games City. It is one of the largest game cities in the capital, Baghdad, with an area of (100) thousand square meters. It is one of the most beautiful tourist places in the city of Baghdad. It includes (30) games for adults and children in addition to water games. Tourist tours are also organized for Baghdadi families by beautiful boats. It also includes Air-conditioned hall for electronic games.
